Making the accurate physical assessment is critical to prescribing a treatment that targets the root cause of any injury or pain. However, in most instances we recognise that there are often different causes behind these injuries or pain. For example, the location of a given pain may not necessarily be the source of the injury nor pain. Additionally, the source of the injury or pain is not necessarily the root cause. Therefore, we ascribe an holistic approach to pain assessment. Through biomechanics, ergonomics, detailed posture and gait analysis, etc. and other assessment methodology, we identify hidden predisposing risk factors for patients and develop a holistic plan to mitigate these risk factors in an effort to achieve Whole Person, Complete, Rehabilitation.
We believe that each patient’s injury and circumstance is unique and therefore each treatment should be personalised to ensure the patient’s recovery at the shortest possible time. In order to be effective, we strive to continue to learn about the latest medical treatment and approach available and continuously seek out innovative and effective methods to help our patients.
